Gramingo is a fictional acquisition project of Grammarly by Duolingo. Gramingo is envisioned as a platform for learning grammar with the help of 'Grammy Mingo'.
Gramingo was a group project in collaboration with two other designers, Yomna Ismail and Mercedes Turner.
Gramingo received a 2025 RGD Student Awards Honourable Mention - Web Design Category and was also shortlisted for the ADCC Student Awards for the Advertising category.

The website is imagined to be the main point of interaction with users. The website also has a programme specifically for schools to join subscriptions and provide grammar lessons for their students.
The website is linked here for in-depth viewing.

Grammy Mingo is imagined as Duo's (Duolingo's Mascot) grandma, expanding on Duolingo's amazing social media story of Duo as a threatening owl that forces people to learn languages. Grammy Mingo, along with her cat
Le Meow, uses her threatening and intimidating tone to make learning grammar educational and entertaining.

The social media posts all tell the story of a bickering and loving relationship between Duo and his grandma Gramingo. The colours and fonts used were
made sure to be consistent with the brand guidelines. On top of telling the
story of the brand, the social media posts also show a glimpse into the funny
and savvy personality of the character. This was made sure by maintaining
a consistent tone for the character throughout the brand deliverables.
